Webinar | Medical Marijuana & Addiction Treatment – Can They Co-Exist?

Medical Marijuana has created many unique challenges for addiction treatment programs and individuals attempting to recover from substance abuse.  This presentation will examine the negative impact of medical marijuana on the field of addiction treatment and interventions designed to help our clients successfully recover despite the legal availability of medical marijuana.

Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to describe three ways Medical Marijuana adversely impacts our client’s addiction treatments.
2. Participants will be able to describe two political factors that have led to the legalization of Medical Marijuana
3. Participants will be able to describe three ways regular marijuana use negatively impacts mental health & cognitive functioning.
4. Participants will be able to describe three treatment interventions to reduce the impact of medical marijuana on their client’s treatment.
