Christy Barnett

Christy is a 2008 graduate of the Alcohol and Drug Studies program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is passionate about helping individuals find confidence in being their authentic selves and believing that they deserve recovery. She likes to use a strengths-based and trauma -informed approach to teaching CBT and DBT skills. In addition, Christy enjoys helping clients obtain maximum executive functioning by implementing daily structure surrounding spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing to help them reach their individual goals and improve relationships. Hoping to improve the substance use field through education and legislative advocacy Christy is an active member of MARRCH and has serves on the board representing Region 7. Christy is a mother to two very active boys who keep her on her toes. In her free time she enjoys camping and watching performing arts. She is also an active member of her church where serves as the ad-council president.
