Mike’s Letter

Dear Mike,

I know you’re miserable. You go through the motions every day and keep wondering if it will ever end. You won’t even look at your eyes in the mirror anymore, as you no longer recognize who it is staring back at you. I remember all of that; I still think of it every day. I’m happy to tell you that all of that will end someday, but it won’t be in the tragic way that you find yourself considering. There will come a day where you finally accept you’ve had enough. For a brief, fleeting moment you’ll think, ‘Maybe I can do this.’ and the craziest part of that, is that you will.
